10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Bray Wyatt
6. The 'Axel Mulligan' Gimmick
As much as WWE would like fans to forget that Husky Harris and Bray Wyatt are the same person, many of you will already know it to be true. However, Rotunda also wrestled under the ring name of 'Axel Mulligan' for a very short period of time. After a Randy Orton punt wrote Rotunda off of television, allowing him to return to FCW and develop his abilities, he re-debuted in the territory under the name of Axel Mulligan.
Although never actually aired on FCW TV, the Mulligan gimmick basically consisted of Rotunda wearing tattered clothes and a Jason Voorhees hockey mask. It was a gimmick of very little substance (and a worrying indicator of WWE's desperation to use the name 'Axel' for somebody, anybody). On the plus side, it could also be seen as the horror-movie persona that pointed Rotunda on the road to the Bray Wyatt character.
