5. A Lashing At The Hands Of CM Punk

It's hard to imagine the current Bray Wyatt character bending over and accepting a series of lashings from his peers, but that's exactly what Rotunda did in 2011. As part of CM Punk's takeover of the Nexus, he forced each member to go through an initiation, proving themselves in his eyes. The angle generated scorn when Punk pretended to go through with his own trial, teasing a suicidal leap from the top of the TitanTron.

It was deemed distasteful and disrespectful, but even the lesser initiations made for pretty disturbing viewing. Rotunda, under his Husky Harris persona, willingly accepted lashes from not only Punk, but fellow Nexus members Justin Gabriel, David Otunga and Heath Slater, leaving his back visibly reddened and swollen.

It wasn't exactly a segment in line with his current menacing gimmick, and an uncomfortable moment WWE would be keen for us all to forget.
