9. Brian Kendrick - Current WWE Champion

If streaking through an arena in Philadelphia represented a low point for Bryan's WWE career, being WWE Champion must surely have been one of the high points. WWE began to push Kendrick as The Brian Kendrick (an inside joke at Mike Adamle's expense) on Smackdown in the summer of 2008. THE Brian Kendrick won a battle royal on the August 22nd Smackdown to earn a place in the five-man WWE Championship scramble match at Unforgiven (which also featured Triple H, Jeff Hardy, MVP and Shelton Benjamin). Kendrick entered third and actually became the interim WWE Champion by pinning Hardy. Did Kendrick leave the match with the title? Not a chance. Triple H walked away with the gold on the night but Kendrick did have the longest reign as interim champ during the match. Kendrick's win is not officially recognised by WWE so don't expect the NXT commentators to talk about it.
