10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Brian Kendrick

4. Big Who?

You know WWE have big plans for you when they give you your own bodyguard to come to the ring with. When Kendrick had the support of the creative team in 2008, he was given his own huge bodyguard in the form of 'Big Zeke' Ezekiel Jackson, following in the footsteps of his trainer Shawn Michaels (who had both Diesel and Chyna as bodyguards). They certainly made a striking pair. A short white guy in a jean jacket and a huge black guy with a big beard and an open shirt. Yeah, they looked the part. It was the standard, tried-and-tue formula: the little guy talks a lot of smack and the big guy with the muscles comes and saves him when he runs into trouble. Jackson began interfering in Kendrick's matches and the two eventually teamed, going after the WWE Tag Team Championships (which they failed to win). When Kendrick was released, Big Zeke resurfaced on ECW and had a short but memorable run as ECW Champion. After that, however, Jackson floundered, suffered an injury and eventually disappeared. It was a disappointing end to a promising WWE career but Jackson has since resurfaced on Lucha Underground, where he wrestles as Big Ryck. WWE won't want you to remember Kendrick's 'advisor' since he works for a rival promotion and must have been a huge letdown to WWE.
