10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Charlotte Flair

5. The Paige Promo

Charlotte Flair

Horribly effective at causing needless offence mostly because it would have been so simple to avoid, WWE's unnecessary cruelty was yet again laid bare in what proved to be one of the last ever feuds over the barely-missed Divas Championship.

Ahead of a Survivor Series 2015 clash with friend-turned-rival Paige, Charlotte Flair spoke at length about life as a wrestler's daughter as well as mentioning her late brother Reid, who had tragically taken his own life two years earlier. 'The Queen' suggested she would fight "as her family always had", then Paige replied, saying "your little baby brother didn't have much fight in him did he?".

It was a grim enough retort on the surface, but the darkest aspect revealed itself down the line when reports emerged that the extended Flair family including then WWE-contracted star Ric weren't given prior warning of the callous reminder of the 25-year-old's passing.

This was truly abhorrent when it aired, and has predictably aged terribly too.
