10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Chris Jericho

2. Those 2009-10 Run Ins With The Law

Let it be known that the Chris Jericho of mid-2008-09 was the best heel on the planet.

A believably unlikeable dude, his stuffy, suit-wearing 'Best In The World At What I Do' claim was a heat-seeking missile that worked every time. Away from the ring, Jericho was getting heat too, and he hit the headlines for the wrong reasons in February 2009. Video footage leaked online of him scuffling with fans, and reports surfaced claiming he'd even punched a female in the crowd.

News outlets, as they're prone to do, had a field day with this sort of thing. Meanwhile, WWE's PR department must have been fuming that one of their most experienced campaigners would put himself in that spot.

In 2010, they'd be left picking up the pieces again when Jericho drunkenly brawled with one of his peers in a taxi. Following a night out with Shane Helms and others that turned rowdy, he was detained by police. Reports claimed Helms had physically attacked Y2J, and the situation hit the news once more.
