10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Cody Rhodes

6. Heat With Drew Gulak

Being The Elite

Admittedly, there's a strong chance this is a work. The story itself is dumber than Ryback and there isn't any corroborating evidence, but it's too funny to omit: and if it is legitimate, it sounds like one of the most pointless wrestling beefs of all time.

In 2017, Cody Rhodes told Busted Open Radio that Drew Gulak got salty with him over free pizza.

It happened when both men were active in EVOLVE. Rhodes brought free pizza to a table promoter Gabe Sapolsky had set up for him to meet fans and sign autographs. It was Johnny Gargano's last night with the group, so they were celebrating, and in Rhodes' eyes, it was no big deal.

Not to Gulak.

In Cody's own words:

"There is a wrestler by the name of Drew Gulak, and I'm going to go ahead and tell you I think he sucks. He does a grizzled old vet routine, he hasn't done anything or made any money anywhere, and he shouldn't be doing that routine. He looked at me from his table, and frustrated and jealous, because there were people in line at my table... says to me 'So that's what you need to get over' and he walks away in a total huff and temper tantrum. Since then that guy, is on my list. 100%. I will reguarly text Ethan Page just to tell him how much I think Drew Gulak sucks."

Gulak is currently active in WWE on the NXT brand. He's not the most prominent televised character in the company, admittedly, but backstage feuds over pizza are a deeply silly look.
