9. He Was The Last Cruiserweight Champion Ever
The Cruiserweight Championship isn't mentioned on air these days, and seems to have been firmly made a footnote of WWE's history. Its lineage is a proud one, and includes such well-respected names as Jushin 'Thunder' Liger, Lance Storm, and Chris Jericho. Let's not beat about the bush: Hornswoggle was the last ever Cruiserweight Champion. Yes, the WWE could have bestowed such an honour on a rising star such as Paul London, a well-respected servant like Chavo Guerrero, or a popular mainstream figure in the form of Rey Mysterio - but instead gave it to a man working a leprechaun gimmick. The title wasn't even given a dignified send-off, instead quietly shuffled off the card and listed as 'vacant' for a while on WWE.com. Eventually it was removed altogether.
