The 2008 Royal Rumble is rightly remembered as the site of John Cena's shock return, which saw him last eliminate Triple H to win the match. At this moment, had Hornswoggle ran out to dump Cena over the top rope, he would have been going to WrestleMania (and this list would have been drastically re-ordered) - because he was never properly eliminated from the match! Earlier, Hornswoggle had been saved from a Mark Henry beatdown by Finlay, who simply pulled him under the bottom rope and carried him to the back. Yes, like Maven way back in 2002, Hornswoggle was never technically eliminated from the Rumble.
