10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Jeff Hardy

4. His 2019 Double Arrest

Jeff Hardy
WWE

The only small mercy for WWE here is that Jeff was on the shelf rehabbing a knee injury for both arrests during the second half of 2019. First, Hardy was hauled in by cops for public intoxication in South Carolina. Then, just shy of three months later, Jeff was arrested again in North Carolina for driving whilst impaired.

WWE chiefs can't have been thrilled to see Hardy mugshots popping up all over social media.

Both arrests pointed to well-known problems in Jeff's personal life too. Admirably though, he put his hand up and acknowledged that things had to change - either before it was too late or WWE's patience wore thin enough to cut their losses with him.

These issues were largely forgotten soon enough, but not by everybody. Then, for some baffling reason, WWE themselves decided to turn Hardy's real-life strife into a storyline (because of course they did) that made most fans feel uncomfortable.
