10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Jinder Mahal
7. He Almost Started A Renegade Group At Raw 1000
What do fans remember most from the 1,000th episode of Monday Night Raw? CM Punk turning heel on The Rock? AJ Lee becoming the show's new General Manager? How about Jinder Mahal leading a squad of disgruntled mid-carders in a charge for change?
That actually happened, long before 3MB was even a twinkle in Vince McMahon's eye. Storming to the ring with microphone in hand, Jinder stood alongside the likes of Drew McIntyre, Tyler Reks, Curt Hawkins, Camacho and Hunico. Mere minutes later, the entire gang was laid out by Kane and The Undertaker as WWE once again chose to celebrate the past rather than build for the future.
Jinder's band of merry men were never mentioned again in the same breath. The question is: was this some kind of stab at creating a new Nexus? Maybe it's just as well things didn't pan out, because McIntyre and Mahal have went on to bigger and better things when they could have been in a prototype Social Outcasts.
