When Jinder Mahal first appeared on WWE programming in 2011, he came across like an Indian 'Million Dollar Man'. Freely talking about his embarrassing riches and looking down his nose at all the fans for being poor and out of shape, Jinder followed typical heel tropes to the letter. His next gimmick was a tad different.

Aligned with Drew McIntyre's and Heath Slater, Jinder became a rocker. Playing air guitar and throwing up the devil horns, he looked mighty weird when still wearing the same traditional Indian dress as he had before. Thankfully, WWE had the foresight to mix that up and clad Mahal in leather. Still, even a 'Metalhead' tattoo on his forehead wouldn't have helped him fit in.

Jinder looked totally out of place in between Slater's Axl Rose looks and McIntyre's flowing hair. It was as though WWE's writing staff had just closed their eyes and pointed to a random member of the locker room. C'mere, Jinder, you'll do nicely, we have nothing else for you anyway.
