10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Kaitlyn

AJ Lee came into her own in 2012 as a vindictive so-and-so who used the roster's sense of male entitlement against them. It was a killer gimmick, one she played to the hilt. Things would have been extremely different though had WWE stuck to their guns and rolled with early plans to have Kaitlyn turn heel on AJ.

The company even went so far as to tape the turn (on 6 December) for the 9 December 2011 episode of SmackDown.

Following another loss, Kaitlyn flipped on Lee, beat her up and then joined forces with Natalya and Beth Phoenix. That segment was never shown on TV, either because WWE believed it sucked or due to time constraints, and WWE didn't bother to try again. They just scrapped the idea completely and moved on.

When fans next saw Kaitlyn, she was back on NXT as part of the show's fifth season (Redemption) and rekindling her feud with Maxine. Later, she restarted the rivalry against AJ, but there was a twist: Lee was the heel, not Kaitlyn.
