10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Kaitlyn

6. "The Chickbusters" Weren't Over At All

Following her hollow NXT Season Three triumph, Kaitlyn was moved to SmackDown and formed an alliance with fellow rookie AJ Lee. The pair were managed by Natalya, dubbed "The Chickbusters" and were notable only for smiling during entrances and appearing out of their depth against seasoned veterans like Beth Phoenix.

If it isn't becoming crystal clear just by reading that, then let's spell it out: this was a very poor period for women's wrestling in WWE.

The Chickbusters gimmick wasn't one fans particularly cared about; everyone could see that Natalya was going to ditch her proteges ASAP, and the eventual turn was greeted with cheers because people were happy to see Nattie and Phoenix align as the "Divas Of Doom". They were more popular, and fans were chuffed to see deserving workers get more screen time.

On the flip side, Kaitlyn and AJ continued to drown in mediocrity, and it'd be a while before either woman was taken seriously by creative as more than a smiling newbie. They just weren't over.
