In the spring of 2006, in an effort to plug the aforementioned See No Evil, WWE began playing Kane's internal monologue live in the arena for all to hear.

There was particular focus on 19 May, which as well as being the date on which the film hit theatres was also, we later learnt, the one on which 'The Big Red Machine's family were killed in a fire.

If we discount the possibility of coincidence, it was probably a little insensitive of the film studio to choose that date of all dates to launch the movie - and more insensitive still of the WWE production crew to start making light of it in front of the whole world.

Fortunately, Kane is famous for his sense of humour, and took it all on the chin.
