6. The Alleged Affairs
There's absolutely no evidence to suggest that Kurt Angle actually had an affair with Dawn Marie or Jacqueline, but true or not, the rumours have followed him around for well over a decade now.
The Jacqueline story is almost certainly conjecture. Neither side has ever commented on the issue, and neither has any other wrestler who could've conceivably shared a locker-room with the duo while they were both in WWE. It's probably fake news, but its existence is a black mark on Angle's reputation.
There's more meat to the Dawn Marie stories, which suggest that the duo were together for a full year between 2003 and 2004. Kurt was married at the time, and Dawn was engaged to former ECW midcarder Simon Diamond, whom she split from in 2005. She admitted to the affair in a shoot interview a few years later, but her word is all we have, and such tales are best approached with a boatload of cynicism.
Regardless of whether these affairs happened or not, such stories don't exactly fit Kurt's heroic narrative, and both parties would love them to disappear from history.
