Both were slapped with charges of assault and battery, and released on bail. As the mugshots suggests, the pair did quite a number on one another, with Hardy's face a maze of cuts, and Reby sporting a black eye. Of all the controversial incidents dotting Matt's career and personal life, this is probably the one the WWE will be most keen to distance themselves from. Not only is it the most recent, but cases of potential domestic abuse have blighted the company many times in the past - including charges against megastar Steve Austin, and Jimmy Snuka's recent arrest on suspicion of third-degree murder. In fairness to Matt and Reby, the pair appear to have settled down in the past year or so, and recently gave birth to a child. Hopefully, for the sake of a potential return to the WWE, Hardy can continue to keep his nose clean and his face off of a mugshot.
