This one is often forgotten, lumped in with heaps of other Attitude Era shenanigans, but it was a particularly shocking, crass moment - one which the current PG-era WWE would certainly never revisit. The character of Val Venis, whose character seemed to revolve around the one-dimensional gimmick of 'male porn star who wrestles', would never make it onto Raw these days, let alone the ridiculous angle he found himself embroiled in. Kaientai were an up-and-coming stable of evil foreign heels (very original), who entered a feud with Venis after he slept with their manager's wife. After a promise to "choppy choppy" Val's "pee pee", Kaientai appeared to do just that, dragging Venis backstage after a heel turn by tag partner Taka Michinoku. The last image broadcast on Raw was Yamaguchi-San drawing back a katana while Val was restrained with his trunks around his ankles. This angle drew criticism for being graphic, shocking, offensive, and full of racial stereotypes. An often overlooked crime is simply the terrible writing behind it; the whole thing was hand-waved the following week with Val explaining that he was saved by a little "shrinkage". A lazy ending to a ridiculous storyline.
