At least most of the WWE's more ridiculous angles have the decency to be short lived. This, however, seemed to drag on for forever. The Anonymous Raw General Manager was an infuriating concept, influencing matches and storylines with little rhyme or reason, giving the writers the perfect excuse to go back on decisions, break continuity, and generally ignore good storytelling sense. Even more annoyingly, the character simply disappeared after a year of terror, melting away without any resolution at all. Finally, over a further year later, the GM shockingly returned - and was immediately revealed to have been Hornswoggle all along, a nonsensical revelation which was panned by many fans. At least, with some sort of closure provided, it seemed as though the saga was finally over. Until, heartbreakingly, the Anonymous GM returned again in 2014 for one night only, throwing the entire Hornswoggle resolution into doubt. There's no telling whether the WWE will revisit this idea again - either to finally give fans a proper explanation or subject us to another reign of horror.
