10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Rhyno

5. A Legacy In Flames

While WWE are often (rightly) criticised for routinely pilfering ECW's cult legacy for the sake of making a quick buck, TNA have done the same on countless occasions over the years. Dixie Carter, like Vince McMahon, understands the power of nostalgia, and this saw her programming get 'Extreme' in a number of different storylines, with one of the most notable examples coming in 2006.

This time was a little different. WWE were in the process of building their atrocious ECW brand, and TNA turned the idea that Rhyno may return for it as a storyline, though he decided to stay in the end. Regardless, the arc saw him throw the "real" original ECW Title into a sack, toss it into a drum, and set it on fire in a stunt clearly designed to take shots at the ill-fated WWECW brand.

The belt turned out to be a replica, and it was revealed that Rhyno still had the original at home. Regardless, this symbolic burning of the most important part of 'The Man-Beast's' legacy is something WWE would love you to forget about, along with the rest of his TNA run...
