10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Rhyno

4. His Entire TNA Run

WWE have gone to ridiculous lengths to ignore TNA over the past 15 years.

Vince McMahon and co. have completely no-sold the promotion from day one, and while the odd allusion will occasionally slip onto television, they've never deliberately acknowledged their closest American competition outright. In a way, this is understandable. Even at their peak, TNA have always been small-fry compared to the all-conquering WWE corporate machine, so why would they give them the satisfaction of recognition?

The counterarguments are legion, though. WWE's stance prevents them from putting over the legacies of guys like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Bobby Roode, all of whom were 'made' on Impact. It also comes off as extreme pettiness, but such allegations have never troubled the McMahons.

Like many of his peers, Rhyno ended up spending about as much time in TNA as he did in WWE, with the company becoming an important part of his career. He was even crowned World Heavyweight Champion early in his first run (2005-2010), and his latest spell ended as recently as 2015. Try as they may, WWE can't delete this huge chunk of the man's life, though you'll never hear a word of it from them directly.
