6. Was A Major Part Of D-Generation X
Before teaming with K Kwik, Road Dogg settled into life as part of a re-branded D-Generation X. Shawn Michaels had been forced to retire from in-ring competition following WrestleMania XIV, and Triple H needed some new backup for the faction. Only he and Chyna remained from the original incarnation, but they were soon joined by some new recruits. The incoming X-Pac hooked up shortly after 'Mania, and so did The New Age Outlaws. Suddenly, DX was bigger than ever before, and a lot of fans prefer this lineup to the one involving Shawn Michaels. When the likes of X-Pac, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg joined on, DX became cooler than ever before. Even when Triple H and Michaels later reformed their version of the group, it was clearly missing something. That's because Road Dogg was an incredibly vital part of the unit. In many respects, the man was the most popular performer in D-Generation X. His catchphrases were the most over on the microphone, and fans treated him like a top star. WWE would likely rather fans viewed him as a bit part player, but the truth can't be ignored.
