10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Roman Reigns

7. That Clunky ‘Last Man Standing’ Botch

Roman Reigns Big Dog

Admittedly, this was the fault of Paul Heyman more than Roman, but it still counts.

Reigns found himself flapping around helplessly at the 2021 Royal Rumble. He was 20+ minutes deep into a hard-hitting 'Last Man Standing' bout with Kevin Owens when the babyface handcuffed the champ to a piece of the lighting rig. Heyman was supposed to swoop in and save the day by unlocking his 'Tribal Chief' with a key.

There was just one problem: Paul E couldn't work the thing, and the cuffs stayed put for an awkwardly long period of time. WWE's cameras blatantly didn't know what to shoot here, so they lingered on Heyman and Roman frantically trying to get a move on. Someone should've started playing the Benny Hill music for a laugh.

The Gorilla Position must've been a sight to behold when all of this was going on. One of the show's main matches threatened to fizzle out rather than end with a bang. Thankfully, Heyman got there in the end. Eek!
