10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Seth Rollins

6. Rollins Is Triple H's New Randy Orton

In 2004, Randy Orton was a Triple H project. Hunter legitimately wanted to take an apprentice and build him into the next big star, just as Shawn Michaels had sort of done for him in the 90's. Orton didn't really work out as the model student, but still went on to have a solid main event career. For Hunter, he wasn't really satisfied at how the apprentice project had worked out, hence why he got so involved in developmental projects with WWE in the last few years. Upon seeing Seth Rollins, he knew that he'd found his new man. Triple H has consistently been a Seth Rollins mark for the last few years. He was there to pose for photos when Rollins won the NXT title, just as he was there backstage for a photo with Rollins when he won the WWE Title at Mania. Hunter has protected and helped Seth throughout The Shield and subsequent singles run. He even booked himself in action against Seth as part of the Evolution vs Shield feud, as he was desperate to work with his talented apprentice.
