10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Sheamus

6. King Of The Ring Died After His 2010 Victory

What happened to the King of Ring? Sheamus killed it. That's not a fair way to look at things, but it's true in a way because he was the last King of the Ring winner in 2010. The match took place on the November 29, 2010 edition of Raw with Michael Cole on commentary with CM Punk because it was when Punk was nursing an injury. Sheamus was the heel in the match when he beat John Morrison. Following the win, Sheamus went onto the stage and was crowned the winner with a ridiculously large scepter, then the royal robe, the crown and a seat on the royal throne as well. For a few weeks after the win, Sheamus was wearing his royal outfit, but it really didn't last long. WWE barely mentioned his King of the Ring status on commentary and the tournament hasn't been brought back since. It's wrong to blame Sheamus for it. However, since WWE chooses to completely ignore the accomplishment from his past it's something they want us to forget.
