10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Dudley Boyz
7. This Isn't Their First HOF Induction
It seems a little bit mean-spirited to ridicule TNA for having their own Hall of Fame, but they really don't help themselves by staging the ceremony on the eve of Bound For Glory, their answer to WrestleMania. It's like they want people to refer to them as "WWE Lite".
In one way, however, getting the nod from TNA is actually a little bit (just a little bit) more meaningful. They've only inducted seven people - Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarett, Earl Hebner, Gail Kim and Team 3D - all of them having played a major role in their history (unlike, say, Arnold Schwarzenegger in WWE).
Anyway, the point is that Bubba Ray and D-Von have already had their emotional moment in front of an audience of teary-eyed contemporaries. They probably already used their best speeches too, which means what we get in April is likely the material they left crumpled up on their desks at home.
It doesn't really detract from the accomplishment any, but it's kind of funny that WWE has been beaten to the post here, just as they were in the cases of Sting and Kurt Angle (Jeff Jarrett, Earl Hebner and Gail Kim, they probably won't worry about too much).
