10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Miz

9. That Tough Enough 'Dixie Dog' Fight

Before he was a regular on the roster and even prior to that aforementioned Diva Search disaster, The Miz was plain old Mike Mizanin on the fourth season of Tough Enough. Not learning from previous horror shows like the 'Brawl For All', WWE decided to put Mizanin and fellow contestant Daniel Puder in a 'Dixie Dog' Fight live on pay-per-view.

At Armageddon 2004, The Miz faced Puder in a straight up boxing match, and the only mercy was that it lasted a scant three minutes. Mayweather vs. McGregor this was not. Both men looked like they barely belonged on a card featuring names like The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and John Cena. Hell, Miz and Puder came out looking like WWE had just plucked two fans from the stands and asked them to duke it out.

When Kurt Angle beating a guy dressed as Santa Claus in 25 seconds tops your match, you know there's a problem. This was not good, ate up valuable pay-per-view minutes, and (worse) made the Tough Enough concept look like it had done nothing to prepare these boys for WWE.
