10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Miz

Ignore David Otunga looking like Rufus from Bill & Ted and Ryback playing redneck cowboy in the above image, because there's an even more startling thing to focus your attention on. Yes, that's Daniel Bryan. You know, the man who became a cult-like sensation and eventual World Champion in WWE.

Back in 2010, he wasn't anywhere close to the main events. In fact, he was one of the original NXT 'Rookies'. His 'Pro'? The Miz. This irked a lot of hardcore wrestling fans who had watched Bryan's work in companies like ROH for years. Here was a WWE creation who had come from reality television, and we were expected to believe he could coach the world-class 'American Dragon'.

WWE quickly moved on from the teacher/student relationship between Miz and Bryan. When the pair were at loggerheads in 2016 on SmackDown, it was hardly even mentioned. There must be a reason for that. It's almost like WWE realise how bogus this story was, especially considering Bryan's later success.
