10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The TLC PPV
4. Dean Ambrose Is Not An Electrician (TLC 2014)
It's a testament to Dean Ambrose's ability and charisma that, despite suffering from loss after loss since going solo, he's remained one of the few WWE stars who actually gets a reaction from fans. Still, WWE seems all but determined to kill that reaction, if their creative output is any indication - and TLC 2014 stands as possibly the nadir of the company's booking of "The Lunatic Fringe." Ambrose had a heated feud with Seth Rollins following "The Architect's" betrayal of The Shield, but in the blowoff match at Hell in a Cell 2014, Bray Wyatt inexplicably cost Ambrose the victory. Ambrose transitioned into a feud with "The Eater of Worlds," leading to a main event match at last year's TLC show. The two had a wild brawl under TLC match rules, but Ambrose was unable to put Wyatt away. He finally grabbed a TV monitor and attempted to hit his opponent with it, but it was attached to a cord that ran under the ring and wouldn't reach Wyatt. Ambrose yanked the set, the cord popped, and an explosion of sparks blinded the former Shield member. After being portrayed as the world's dumbest babyface, Ambrose was easy prey for Wyatt and Sister Abigail.
