10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Usos
9. Jimmy Uso On Commentary
In 2020 when Jimmy Uso was on the shelf for over a year, WWE used this as an opportunity to elevate Jey as a singles star. This was not the case for the older brother five years prior when Jey was out of action with a separated shoulder.
Instead of allowing the elder Use to fly solo, WWE opted to have Jimmy sit behind the commentary desk. Replacing Byron Saxton alongside Tom Phillips and Jerry Lawler was far from a highlight in the career of the 7 time tag team champion. Throughout the summer, the WWE Universe watched as Jimmy, while appearing to have fun behind the desk, clearly struggled at his new apot.
While Jimmy Uso is hardly the worst commentator in the history of WWE, that is not the main reason the company would not want fans looking back on this time. While Jey Uso was given the green light to forge his own path as a singles star, for whatever reason that was not something Jimmy was deemed worthy of. 13 years into his WWE career and despite being a surefire Hall of Famer, Jimmy is still waiting to recieve his first true singles push.
