10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About TNA
4. Blatant Thievery
To say that TNA have 'borrowed' liberally from WWE throughout their existence would be a gross understatement. From attempting to recreate Daniel Bryan's epic rise with Eric Young to little things like branding their fans the 'TNA Galaxy' (very clever, lads...), you can't trawl through the promotion's history without tripping over dozens of ideas ripped straight from Vince McMahon's playbook.
It goes both ways, though. Yes, TNA are far more prone to stealing from WWE, but the McMahons have never been shy in returning the favour, though it's becoming increasingly rare.
Last year saw WWE attempt to steal some of The Final Deletion's buzz by staging a convoluted brawl between The New Day and Wyatt Family, held at the Wyatt's compound. Unsurprisingly, they were completely unsuccessful in capturing the Broken Universe's unique charm.
Kane's spell flirting between his 'Corporate' and 'Demon' personas was a direct rip of the split personality angle TNA originally ran with Joseph Park and Abyss, though ironically, TNA's monster can easily be labeled a 'Big Red Machine' knockoff himself. LayCool, meanwhile, were no more than a Beautiful People pastiche, and the list goes on.
