1. The Bob Holly/Matt Cappotelli Incident
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW6_0H44aQw Bob Holly had a long career in WWE. He was involved in some really good matches and was a hard worker. A good company man, if you will. But he will be forever known, to most people, for an incident in which he appeared to rough up Tough Enough season three contestant Matt Cappotelli. Holly, who is as surly as they come, took umbrage to the Tough Enough trainees horsing around in the ring during some downtime. He singled out Cappotelli as the biggest offender and proceeded to give him an a**-whooping during a six man tag match. Stiff at the best of times, Holly's offense looked even stiffer because Holly would not stay still while he was being beat down, causing Holly to catch him in the eye and mouth. Cappotelli came out of the match with a black eye and bloody lip. Later in the episode, he broke down on camera and had to be convinced to stay in the competition. Holly was widely vilified in the wrestling press and on the internet. He was branded a bully but he didn't really care. In Holly's opinion he was 'protecting the business' and has said that he would do it again. WWE received some complaints and it caused a little bit of a scandal when it aired. WWE won't want you remembering this. Whether you think Holly was in the right or the wrong, it got WWE a tonne of bad publicity at the time and several top stars (such as Triple H) publicly renounced Holly's actions. An incident such as this one isn't likely to happen during the forthcoming season of the show.
