1. Vince McMahon Made Her Bark Like A Dog
Though Trish Stratus started out managing Test and Albert, it wasn't long before she found a more prominent role.
Recast as Vince McMahon's mistress in 2001, Stratus would accompany Vince to the ring as he used her to get back at his estranged wife, Linda. Stephanie McMahon soon took exception to this, leading to a feud between Stratus and "The Billion-Dollar Princess." In the end, Vince turned on Stratus and sided with his daughter, calling Stratus a toy he had "grown tired of playing with."
That set up an angle where, in an attempt to exert his power, McMahon decided to "command" Stratus to follow his every order. In the ring, he ordered her to strip down to her underwear and bark like a dog, which Stratus did. The whole thing was in incredibly poor taste and left every fan with a conscience more than a little upset.
Yes, Stratus eventually gave Vince his comeuppance at WrestleMania, but that still didn't erase the degrading misogyny of the angle. There's a reason WWE was so quick to pull video of it off YouTube when Linda McMahon was running for Senate, after all.
