10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Trish Stratus

6. She Turned Down An Invitation To Compete At WrestleMania 25

WrestleMania 25 was the very definition of a one-match show, and that one match was decidedly not the "Miss WrestleMania" battle royal.

Though it was hyped up as a tribute to 25 years of women at WrestleMania, it was a mess of a contest that started with an impromptu (and interminal) Kid Rock concert and ended with Santino Marella winning the bout in drag.

Trish Stratus did not participate in the bout, but it wasn't because WWE didn't try to get her - the company did reach out to the former Women's Champion, but she was the one who wasn't interested in participating.

Though rumors swirled that she turned down the offer because she wasn't scheduled to go over, she later denied that as being the cause of her disinterest. Rather, she simply wasn't moved by the storyline and felt that in a 25-woman battle royal, it would be tough to properly put anyone over. Given how badly things turned out, it's hard to argue with that.
