10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Trish Stratus
5. Eric Bischoff "Won" A Night With Her
Even during the company's raunchiest days, WWE liked to boast in press releases and the like that they never depicted any dramatized versions of murder or rape. Of course, loyal viewers know that statement was a lie; whether it was Undertaker cartoonishly burying Paul Bearer in cement or the much more disturbing scenario where Kane assaulted Matt Hardy until Lita agreed to sleep with him, murder and rape were indeed a part of the programming.
Trish Stratus was part of a largely forgotten angle on an episode of Raw that, at the very least, hinted at attempted sexual assault. On the edition of the show immediately following Backlash 2003, Bischoff - who was Raw's General Manager - booked himself in a no disqualification match with Stratus. If the former Women's Champion won, she'd get a title shot, but if Bischoff won, he'd get to spend the night with her.
Bischoff won, but Linda McMahon overturned the stipulation after the match. Still, the fact that it was announced in the first place is a particularly disgusting bit of company history.
