9. 2008 Arrest

Oi, Wade! You've been nicked, son! Yes, Mr. Barrett has spent time in the slammer and there's the photo to prove it. On June 15th, 2008 (when Wade was still training in WWE's developmental system) he was arrested and charged with battery of a law enforcement officer and obstructing an officer, felony and misdemeanour respectively, in Tampa, Florida. So why wasn't Wade wished the best in all of his future endeavours for such things? Because it's more inoccuous than it first appears, that's why. Wade was apparently trying to walk away from a situation outside a nighclub (a woman had bumped into him and started a confrontation) and didn't know that the officer was actually police, since he was in plainclothes. Barrett was released the next day and all charges were subsequently dropped. Still, this doesn't stop it from being a rather embarrassing incident (his mugshot is certainly goofy, anyway) and WWE are hardly going to flaunt the fact that one of their long-serving employees was thrown in the slammer for getting rowdy with an undercover fuzz.
