10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Wade Barrett
10. The Corre
Odds are you've already forgotten about this utterly woeful stable from 2011, but just in case you haven't - or if I've provided a thoroughly unwelcome reminder - WWE probably don't want you spending too much time pondering one of the most utterly pointless stables it has ever presented on television. The Corre, comprised of Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Ezekiel Jackson and, yes, our boy Wade, were active between January and June of 2011. That's less time than even one-note joke The Right to Censor were in existence for! Based on the evidence, there's an argument that The Corre were even worse than the RTC were, too. Yes, they held championship gold - as the picture above demonstrates, Justin Grabriel & Heath Slater won the WWE Tag Team Titles and Barrett captured the Intercontinental Strap - but that's just about all they did. Really, eveything from their entrance music, to their merchandise, to the name itself (two R's huh?) just screamed 'generric'. Their sub-two minute loss to Kofi Kingston, Big Show, Kane and Santino Marella at WrestleMania XXVII was the pits. Then the next night on raw they had their asses resoundly handed to them by real stars The Rock and John Cena, just because. No, Wade Barrett isn't likely to put 'leader of The Corre' on his CV and there is no 'Best of The Corre' DVD in the pipeline on WWE's end. It was such a massive let down.
