10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About William Regal
7. His Accent Is Fake
One of Regal's most distinctive traits in WWE is his voice. His distinctive, upper-class British accent instantly made him a loathed heel upon his arrival in 2000. Even these days, as a babyface authority figure, it works effectively. He speaks in more measured tones, giving his words a reserved sense of dignity and respect. There's only one problem: it's not his real accent! Regal's offscreen voice is Lancastrian, perhaps owing to his early career at Blackpool Pleasure Beach (although he was actually born in the West Midlands).
