6. His Involvement With Eugene

The gimmick of Nick 'Eugene' Dinsmore is one of the most controversial and insensitive in WWE history, and it's very likely that the company would rather it had never happened - particularly given the PG rating of today's product. Regal was heavily involved in Eugene's début on the main roster. Billed as Eric Bischoff's "mentally challenged" nephew, the rookie was put under Regal's care. The Englishman grew increasingly fond of Eugene, and even won the tag team titles alongside him in 2004 - but that success only served to keep such an appalling gimmick on our television screens even longer.
