10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 27

6. ...And He Lost To The Great Khali

With Bryan and Sheamus moved off of the WrestleMania card, the bout was changed to a lumberjack match - that way, the entire roster would be able to come out in front of the enormous crowd. The U.S. Champion and his challenger fought for about four minutes, but then the lumberjacks got involved, making the match a no contest. Rather than let the match end, Smackdown! GM Teddy Long came out and declared that it be restarted - as a battle royal, with Bryan, Sheamus, and all of the lumberjacks entered. The match wasn't for the U.S. Title, it was just an off-TV battle royal with no stakes. The Great Khali ended up picking up the victory by last eliminating Sheamus, undoubtedly annoying the tens of thousands of fans in the Georgia Dome.
