10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 27
5. The Undertaker Was Stretchered Out After "Winning"
The one bright spot on the WrestleMania XXVII card was a classic Undertaker versus Triple H match. Though many fans feared that the match wouldn't live up to expectations - especially compared to the two HBK-Undertaker bouts at WrestleManis XXV and XXVI - it was a brutal brawl that saw both guys fight tooth and nail en route to an Undertaker victory by way of the Hell's Gate. A major part of the match's story was that, even though Undertaker couldn't be put away, "The Game's" assault absolutely devastated The Phenom. When Undertaker finally did draw the submission and the match was over, both men were flat on the their backs, the victims of a vicious war. Finally, Triple H and Undertaker managed to leave the ring - but on the way out, it was The Undertaker who collapsed, not the match's so-called loser. Triple H even attempted to catch The Phenom as he fell, but couldn't react in time. After that, Undertaker was stretchered out. Even though 'Taker got the victory, Triple H ended up looking like he had won the war, which cheapened the Streak-enhancing victory a little.
