10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 30

8. Rey Mysterio's Last WrestleMania Was Inauspicious

Rey Mysterio debuted in WWE in 2002 and, against all odds, he became one of the company's top stars. After dominating the cruiserweight division and winning several tag team championships, Mysterio had his own WrestleMania moment - at 'Mania 22, he pinned Kurt Angle in a triple threat match (also featuring Randy Orton) to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Bad luck in the form of injuries and time cuts hurt Mysterio's subsequent WrestleMania career. He missed 23 and XXIV, wrestled a total of seven minutes at XXV and XXVI, and then missed 28 and 29. Heading into WrestleMania XXX, Mysterio had suffered so many injuries that the company was reticent to push him. Even though he was healthy, he was put into the inaugural annual Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal and eliminated rather unceremoniously. This would prove to be Mysterio's last WrestleMania appearance to date. In fact, he'd wrestle his final match with WWE the very next night. After months of being at loggerheads with the company, he left in early 2015. One of the greatest WWE superstars in recent history went out with a whimper, not a bang.
