10 Things You Didn't Know About James Ellsworth
5. He Applied To Be A Jobber. And So Can You!

Have you had a longtime dream of wanting to be the next James Ellsworth? Well, probably not since he’s only been around a few weeks. But if you have wrestling experience and want a shot with WWE, you can actually fill out an application to get a tryout match with them, just like any other regular job. That’s exactly what Ellsworth did, and it eventually landed him on Raw.
WWE.com has a recruitment site for wrestlers where they can send in their resume and photos. Ellsworth says it’s good to mention some famous names you’ve wrestled against, so you sound more legitimate. The odds are, they'll likely never respond to you. They get so many requests, and only have so many opportunities available that most simply never get their chance. A certain amount of luck is involved.
Ellsworth also revealed some details of what it’s like to be an enhancement talent. He says that they have to check in during the early afternoon with with one of the referees, then they go to catering and see if they’re needed or not for the night. While WWE may be a billion dollar empire, they'll still bring in enhancement talent every week, and not know if they'll be using them or not even hours before the show airs!
If you're interested in applying the same way James did, you can check it out at recruit.wwe.com.
