10 Things You Didn’t Know About Bullet Club
6. Bullet Club's Four Different Leaders
Kenny Omega currently stands as Bullet Club’s leader, and as one of the stable’s longest-serving members, it’s a position he has earned. He took the throne by destroying AJ Styles following the Phenomenal One’s inability to beat Shinsuke Nakamura the night before, at Wrestle Kingdom 10, and while Omega recently teased his departure from NJPW, his position looks entirely secure at the moment.
Four men have led Bullet Club since the stable’s inception, however. That’s one new leader for every year that the group has been around, and while Devitt started life as the boss, his custodianship lasted just 11 months. The Irishman left NJPW for WWE in April 2014, when he was set upon by the Young Bucks, and after settling his beef with Taguchi, Devitt effectively resigned his position.
Karl Anderson took the reins immediately after, but it’s hard to tell where his leadership came to an end. He effectively stepped aside when AJ Styles came in, but remained in a figurehead-like role throughout his stint. He was part of the group that sent AJ packing from NJPW in January 2016, though he’d later depart for WWE himself.
The one constant in all of this is Bad Luck Fale, who has been BC’s “Underboss” from day one. As one of the most limited wrestlers in NJPW, however, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see him inherit the top spot.
