10 Things You Didn’t Know About Cedric Alexander
8. C&C Wrestle Factory
After earning his stripes with Highspots, much of Alexander’s early days in pro wrestling were spent in a tag team alongside Caprice Coleman, who himself was trained by the Matt and Jeff Hardy and has wrestled in a few enhancement matches for WWE.
Alexander and Coleman would remain together for a good two years between 2011 and 2013, during which time they went by the name of C&C Wrestle Factory.
Now, you’d think that if you were going to spend such a significant amount of time together as part of a tag team, you’d probably spend quite some time racking your brains for the ideal name. And while the pair certainly managed to nail the ideal name, it seems like the brain-racking process wasn't quite as arduous as you might expect.
In an interview with Online World of Wrestling, Alexander explains that “the name was given to us by the dirt sheets after our first match in Richard, Virginia. They called us C & C and it stuck with us ever since".
They can be pretty handy, those dirt sheets, can’t they?
