10 Things You Didn’t Know About Cedric Alexander

7. How They Became A Team…

Sticking with the C&C Wrestle Factory theme, Alexander has since shed a little more light on what he thinks is the reason that the team was brought together in the first place.

Last year, in an appearance on Glenn Clark’s Jobbing Out podcast, Alexander notes that he thinks the alliance came about as the result of a “weird” mentality that persists when it comes to black wrestlers. He goes on to say that “I’ve always thought the reason that they put me and Caprice together was because they didn’t have, you know, two black guys in a tag team”.

Whether or not that was necessarily the case, it’s rather refreshing to see someone in the industry discussing these kind of issues so openly like Alexander has done, rather than simply allowing them to be furtively swept under the rug.

Alexander went on to suggest that this kind of thinking may result in guys like ACH and Rich Swann being paired together, despite their contrasting styles. That’s a comment that becomes all the more striking when you consider who WWE partnered Alexander with on Monday Night Raw this past week…
