5. She Was A Central Figure In The Split Between Triple H And Chyna

The relationship between Stephanie and her husband, Triple H, began innocently enough. They were booked in a storyline together in which they were to be romantic with each other. That affection on-screen bled over to their real lives, leading to a schism in the years-long relationship between Triple H and Chyna. What had once been an unbreakable bond between the two stars of the Attitude Era fell apart behind the scenes.

Triple H began an affair with Stephanie that served as the breaking point for his other relationship, Stephanie went on to marry Stephanie while Chyna was axed from the company shortly thereafter. Is there really any wonder she wound up suffering from as many illnesses, especially mental ones that she did in her post-WWE days?

The personal drama involved behind the scenes understandably led to resentment in the locker room.
