10 Things You Didn’t Know About 'The Fiend'

1. Why The Fiend Covers His Ears

The shrill noises that play whenever 'The Fiend' is near aren't only there for horrific effect. They also reference something Bray did in 2015, and most fans would've totally missed it at the time unless they happened to be watching 'Superstar Ghost Stories' during the month of October on WWE's YouTube channel.

Boys and girls, meet 'The Man In The Woods', otherwise known as 'The Fiend'.

In the video, Wyatt said he was out hunting rabbits and heard a noise so loud he had to cover his ears lest they bleed. He then clasped the sides of his head like 'The Fiend' does now, and revealed that this 'Man In The Woods' had "no pigment in his skin" was "pale as a pearl" and had "thin, yellow hairs running all the way down to his knees". Basically, he was describing how his forthcoming character would look, and (again) doing so years before it debuted.

That's insane to think about now. Wyatt's 'Fiend' covers his ears because the brain-rattling noise in his head won't go away, and he's tortured between the thought of 'Hurting' and 'Healing'. What's more, Bray laid the foundations for everything from backstory to appearance in 2015.
