10 Things You Didn’t Know About 'The Fiend'

6. The Fiend's Mask Was Modified For Matches

He was going to be wrestling for a start.

Baker put it brilliantly to Gamespot when he said, "If the guy’s going to wear this while beating the living p*ss out of people, he should be able to see out of it and make sure it’s strapped to his head". Quite. Savini Studios knew they had to ensure that Wyatt's new nightmare wasn't hampered between the ropes.

In order to make things easier for him, they pricked a number of small holes in the mask that'd let Bray breathe a bit better. Other changes included touching up the colouring so that it was closer to flesh around the edges. This'd give the illusion (especially under ring lights) that Wyatt's mask was part of his face, not worn like some dime store Halloween mould.

Brad Shepard of Pro Sports Extra did note that the mask restricted Bray's peripheral vision and might necessitate a slower, more methodical style. That's presumably why (or part of the reason why) he took his time against Finn Bálor at SummerSlam and didn't work too many spots.
