Most of the items here are drawn from Barry Blaustein's media interviews since the film's release. They make for engrossing reading/listening, especially when big Baz is talking about his own personal thoughts on how wrestling fans are repeatedly "ripped off" by the industry.

In a 2012 interview with gaming giant IGN, Blaustein revealed why there hasn't been a sequel. It's simple: Barry believes so much of pro wrestling relies on the law of diminishing returns, and he didn't want to add to that problem he'd been whinging about. So, any hopes of 'Beyond The Mat 2' were scrapped.

It was never going to happen.

This was a one off for Blaustein. He's happy with how the documentary turned out, and calls it the movie he wanted to make - had he come back for more, he'd have been doing so for money, nothing else. Aside from pots of gold, he had nothing to gain from producing a follow up.
